Jana
Carter is a member of the Church of the Brethren and a student at Bethany Theological Seminary in the M.
Div. degree program. Prior to entering seminary, Jana served as the
Director of Search for Common Ground's Racial Healing program. Search
for Common Ground is an international non-profit organization committed
to transforming conflict globally and domestically. Jana also holds a
J.D. from UC Berkeley's School of Law and practiced civil rights and
education law for 10 years prior to entering the field of mediation and
conflict transformation. Jana is married to Van Jones, an environmental,
economic and political strategist with a huge heart. They currently
reside in the Washington, D.C. area with their two young sons.
