The
Presidents of the National Council of Churches. They come from all
walks of life: bishops, pastors, teachers, lay leaders, government
officials, civil rights leaders, business leaders and lawyers. For
more than 50 years, they have represented a wide range of church
traditions and social backgrounds. What they have in common is a
commitment to work together with other Christians and other faiths
for the good of all, and to live out the prayer of Jesus Christ,
"that they all should be one."
