NCC organizes a Habitat Build
in historic Yerevan, Armenia

Persons looking for new ways to express their faith while visiting one of Christianity's oldest homelands will have an unusual opportunity this September 1-10.

The National Council of Churches USA is facilitating a trip to historic Yerevan, Armenia to tour some of the world's oldest Christian sites, meet with His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of the Armenian Church, and build houses with Habitat for Humanity International.

The total cost of the trip is $3,000, plus money for dinners and spending. The cost includes:

w The 5 Star Yerevan Hotel for nine nights ($940 double occupancy, $1360 single occupancy)

w Full transportation (first class) and transfers in Armenia as specified in itinerary

w Breakfast and Lunch

w Entrance fee to all sightseeing destinations

w Tour guide (Armenian and English)

w The airfare is approximately $1300 round trip.

w There is a $500 fee to Habitat for Humanity International

September 2through 4 will be a tour of religious sites and audiences with prominent clergy including the Catholicos. The build will take place on September 5 - 9, 2006.  September 1 and 10 will be travel days.
