Faith Movement Launches 'Get Out the Vote' Campaign

Senior religious leaders from across the country are coming together on Wednesday, October 20th to launch a faith-based “Get Out the Vote” effort that uses an innovative new web-based technology.

Thousands of volunteers are being recruited through faith networks. These volunteers have begun to reach out to newly registered, minority and low-income voters. Centrally coordinated under the banner “Vote ALL Your Values,” volunteers are registering at

The launch will take place at a news conference on Wednesday, October 20, hosted by Progressive Faith Media and held at St. Bartholomew’s Church in New York City.  The event will include prominent religious leaders who will speak to the importance of participating in the upcoming election, and voting on conscience and the values of truth, justice for all, and community among all nations and faiths. Faith leaders will demonstrate the effort by participating in a live phone bank.
