Ecumenical Young Adult Ministry Gathering Set for May 2004
October 17, 2003, NEW YORK CITY -- Plenty of skill-building time will characterize the next "Come to the Feast" ecumenical gathering to inspire and renew young adult ministry. Set for May 26-31, 2004, in Tampa, Fla., the national conference is sponsored by the Ecumenical Young Adult Ministry Team of the National Council of Churches and is expected to draw more than 300 participants.
May 26-28, practitioners will share and test approaches to ministry with young adults through an interactive experience. May 28-31, additional participants will join them to experience and critique what has been created - and to share in fun and fellowship.

The NCCs Ecumenical Young Adult Ministry Team includes both denominational staff persons and young adult constituents from the following communions: Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Episcopal Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church (USA) Unitarian Universalist Association, United Church of Christ, and the United Methodist Church. Its mission is to enrich young adult ministry in the churches, taking its inspiration from the image of the sower in Matthew 13.
The National Council of Churches is the nations leading ecumenical body, through which 36 U.S. denominations comprising 50 million members work to address peoples spiritual and social needs.
