Ecumenical Networks Standing Committee
The
National Council of Churches participates actively in a worldwide community
of ecumenical organizations. Within the NCC governing structure, the state and
regional councils of churches in the USA are represented through the
Ecumenical Networks Standing Committee.
It is accountable to:
-
Discern the historic, present and emerging gifts of unity and justice from
across the nation.
-
Proclaim the need for a generation of ecumenical commitment in and for the
third millenium.
-
Help
the Council build relationships with and among current and emerging local,
state, regional, national and global manifestations of the ecumenical
movement.
-
Establish and maintain active, on-going, multifaceted, collaborative
networking processes.

Directories of Local, Regional, National and Global Ecumenism
A comprehensive North American directory of national
church bodies and their agencies, along with local, regional and
national ecumenical and interfaith associations, including key personnel,
mail, phone and electronic contact information, is found in the
Yearbook of American and
Canadian Churches, an annual publication of the National Council of
Churches.
