In our nation today issues of immigration are being discussed with fervor

The National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA, in partnership with the United Methodist Teleconference Connection, the Stanley Foundation and the Study Circles Resource Center, hosted a "national town meeting" by means of a live Interactive Satellite Teleconference on September 24, 1996, entitled Building Hospitable Community: Confronting Bias, Countering Xenophobia in order to discuss anti-immigration bias and the linkage of racism and xenophobia, as well as to share models of building hospitable community.
We want to continue the interactive discussion by sharing some of the resources from the teleconference packet, information on how you can order an unedited video copy for further discussion, and a form for your response in sharing your stories about the work you are doing to Build Hospitable Community.
